I've contacted FriendFeed and Ana said they weren't adding any new services at the moment, but you can still import custom RSS feeds. Generally they need a large number of users requesting a new service before they will add it. Keep requesting and maybe we'll get it in there soon!

Very good points, Nik. I've discovered the same things in my career. At the beginning of the year I had been laid off and was two weeks from not making rent. I had a few opportunities to join back in an office job, stuck in a cubicle and doing the same thing I had been doing for 3 years previous, but I decided to hold off in lieu of finding success freelancing. That's when Blellow scooped me up and gave me my dream job.

Life is far too short to be stuck working a job that you don't like.

Fantastic first pick for our member spotlight! Kim is an amazing, friendly, and very helpful individual. I love the "Blog Interviews" she's been holding on Blellow, and she is the first person I go to for WordPress advice. She recommended the FAQ plugin we use on this site!

Great post Mark, and something for all Freelancers to think about. I've done several "donation" and "charity" projects over the years and they've all led to other jobs and opportunities.
