Today we learn that the ACLU, the famous liberal group that protect's our Civil Liberties was also involved in activities that threatened our Security.

Folks this is political football and I appreciate the freedom's we have because this is something called War on americans citizens by known terrorist.

Hope the editorial tomorrow equally critizes the ACLU for this latest activity they are involved in destroying our Country's security.

He is so smooth and talks about visions which most leaders don't do. They create problems and then tell us how we should let them fix them.

He is a different kind of Democrat and be should be allowed to serve this state.

I really appreciate visionary leaders like Mr. Davis. He seems to have a grasp on the problems we have here in Alabama. To be a good friend of President Obama and to be totally against his agenda should make us look more closely at a man like Mr. Davis.

Congressman Rogers certainly has a grasp for the issue's facing us in rural east Alabama. I think we can all agree that some reform is necessary but re-inventing the system has everyone I know scared to death.

You could build a "Free" medical clinic in every county and it would handle the uninsured at less cost than anything proposed.

Though this sounds good politically, it's likely that the City has no jusisdiction over these issues. The City should immediately annex the area and bring this entire area of what is known as The Mill Village to have better control and bring the area up the Code.

The City has profited from this arrangement for over 100 years without bearing any liability. That should change.

I want to thank the paper for good reporting. They don't make this stuff up, it's based on Alabama Law. It's always best to let the sunshine or you will always take the change of appearing to hide something.

I do hope tthis Board treats Mrs Riggins in the fair and open manner. She is going to make us one heck of a good leader when appointed.

Seems like things have cooled off now that Mrs Riggins has taken over at the Board of Education. This poor Miss Lewis was used to accomplish a goal and I hope her employer approved this survey she conducted. Her employer also recruited this Mr Smithwick to run for Sate School Board and he didn't carry Sylacayga.

Agree with you 100% on electing the School Board. Another suggestion would be to do a TAKE 20 Survey on them to see how they preform and then remove them from office.

Mr. Marlowe is right on. The BEST thing that could have happened to Sylacauga City Schools is to get rid of that woman. She has ruined the system. She wanted a position, not a job. She was rarely there. She wasn't qualified for the job when her buddies hired her. GOOD RIDDANCE

I just hope Mr Marlow is fair to Mrs Riggins. She should be appoiinnted at the Town Hall meeting this week and let's all move forward. I am excited that we will have Barack in the White House and Renee taking care of our school children here in Sylacauga. Just hope they treat her fair.

I am so glad we won't have these kind of problems with Mrs Riggins. She is very qualified and should be appointed to the full time job at the nexrt Board Meeting. I read in the Sylacauga Today where the City officials says she is very qualified and ready for the job.

Suppoort her at the town meeting.

This Board had a streak of meanness that you can read in the agreement. I hope they treat Renee Riggins fair as she is the best candidate for the job. I don't think they even need to interview. You go girl.

I appreciate the reporting you have done as this is not about whether Mrs Cobia should have been retained as that is a Board decision. What we want to know is that Mrs Riggins will be given fair treatment once she is appointed to the position by the Board and that 5 years from now a small group of unelected people don't do her the same way. Let the sun shine in on these meetings.

Sounds like Proctor is in over his head in dealing with school law. He should continue to work wrecks and divorces and leave complicated school law to a professional like Donald Sweeney. Elect our next School Board.

I have always thought Sylacauga should have an elected School Board rather than the present method of appointing good old boys and girls who happen to be politically connected. The races would be by City Council District and will truly represent the people of Sylacauga.

We could save a lot of money by merging into the Talladega County System.

Sylacauga has the opportunity to show the nation that we too can select a school system leader without regard to color. Renee Riggins and Gerald Douglas would make excellent candidates. They can also help us show the state that minority teachers should choose Sylacauga as a place to teach.
