The words nobody wants to hear out loud, thank you for saying them.

I want to go back to the days where I can once again suggest to children that they should look for a cop if lost or scared. We can't do that now, we can't trust the police, who now appear focused on either revenue or glory or simply beating some ass.

I want to be proud of ALL our officers again. I want to respect police again. I can't right now. They cannot earn that trust back when we are daily assaulted with a new video of unarmed, fleeing suspects shot in the back, teenage girls kicked in the dirt, innocent families terrorized in the night by no-knock paramilitary raids on the wrong house.....

When does it end? If the police want to earn our respect again, they need to fix the problems within their own ranks.
