i totally get where you're coming from with not wanting to do Sixth St or the fancypants parties on NYE! the hubs & i had a few friends over for dinner at our place, then we went to E 6th to visit the Coolhaus truck for those amazing ice cream sammies. then we walked a bit, got a coffee at a trailer at Eastside Drive-In, soaking up the lovely Austin vibe, and catching a glimpse of the fireworks between the buildings downtown. it was beautiful out & everyone we met was happy, festive and friendly. then we all went back to our friends' house to play Rock Band & Just Dance 2. it was silly, low-key, and absolutely perfect. Happy New Year, Tolley!
