Yes, I fear for Karla & Vitolio too, if they have the Quickstep. I'm not sure why Nigel & Co don't "get" Vitolio. He has really grown on me through the season so far. His solos are just outstanding.

Hi Saira, yeah, I was thinking about that the other day. I think he Marty was even listed at the official website at the beginning of the season. There's no sign of him now. I don't know what happened, but there is some good news: http://www.apunkachoice.com...

We also haven't seen Travis Wall. I thought he would be in the regular rotation this season.

I think Brandon is physically stronger than Ryan, though he is younger. Ryan is having a pretty successful post-sytycd career.

Don't blame the show, blame the artists and labels who won't license the
music. It doesn't just happen in Australia either. When Rebecca Hart was
asked about the song she auditioned to on the US version, she didn't know.
It had been dubbed over the music she actually used.

Yeah, I've wondered if the Debbie Allen connection was known by the judges
at the original audition. I tend to think it would have to be, but I could
be wrong.

It would be interesting to track back an see if there's a pattern to the
voting response when something like that is said, especially if the routine
doesn't receive immediate acclaim.

I take it as a compliment that you have to ask. I will be happy if either
Katee or Joshua win, and I'm pretty confident that Katee will.

One more thing just occurred to me. Will's prediction about the Ghost piece going down in So You Think You Can Dance history. I believe some might have taken some exception to that. If you're going to do that, you'd best deliver. We've seen pieces grow in stature over time, but so far, I'm not seeing an overwhelming response to the routine.

Don't hold your breath. I expect it to be a Joshua/Mark number, unless
something extraordinary happens next week.

I get heat every time I say this, but I think he really, really hurt himself with that original audition. Add the perception that the judges were over-hyping him, he had a lot of obstacles to overcome. Maybe he would have with a different original partner, one that the judges wouldn't use as a punching bag, and one that better meshed with his skills.

Exactly. I think the Pas De Deux propped him up for another week. I predicted in writing that if he survived this week, he'd get another hook up next week to get him in the top 4. We'll never know now. Yes, there was definitely a get-out-the-vote effort for Mark this week too, and Mark was getting a big chunk of the IDF vote that went to Danny and Neil last year.

If you go back to check weekly poll results here, Will and Jessica never got
above low middle of the pack. They avoided the B3 several times, but just
barely. I think the bottom rose to meet him. He never connected with an
audience.

Due to the nature of this blog, I sort through 50 to 100 or more
SYTYCD-related links *every* day, so if it's on the web and it's about
SYTYCD, chances are I've seen it. I realized today how crazy that is, and I
doubt there's anyone, anywhere, who has seen more So You Think You Can Dance
material than I have over the last 2 seasons. No brag, just fact. There was
great respect for Will's ability, but I sensed very little enthusiasm,
nothing like I saw last year for Danny, Sabra, and Neil, or this year for
Mark, Joshua, and Katee. People vote for who they like, not for who they
respect, at least in this context.

Actually, the finale is two weeks from last night. I realized they went
without a break for the dancers so they could be done before the Olympics
start on the 8th.

Most of Thursday's show is live. The group routine and the guest performers
are taped earlier in the day, usually.
