KSM should have gotten the firing squad years ago...a civilian trial in New York is totally absurd. If we are at war, as has been declared, why on earth would the underwear bomber be given a lawyer and a civilian court trial? He should have been shipped directly to Gitmo for military interrogation, as an armed combatant, a foreign enemy of the US.
We are shooting rockets at AL Queda terrorists in Afghanistan and Pakistan....no Miranda, no ACLU lawyers....so what gives with the civilian trials for KSM and this idiot from Nigeria? IF this is war, let's settle it....

I like profiling....it works. If you have nothing to hide, no terrorist ties, why would you worry or care?...so they look at you, search you, ask some questions...big deal...they do this to lots of passengers...If you cannot handle the searches and the questioning, my advice is cry to the ACLU and take the boat or the train....but expect to be searched and questioned there too!!! It's a good thing.

I liked Ann Coulter's response to this new idiocy.....why should people be confined to their seats for the last hour? What happens if a terrorist is on board and goes to the bathroom in the first five hours of your flight? A lot of these arbitrary and ridiculous rules come from FEAR instead of rationality. The best defense against terrorism is a good offense....like USMC Sniper says....HIT EM HARD, make them pay....if they blow up a jet, blow up their capital....if they hit an embassey, carpet bomb their hideouts and bases.....MAKE THEM PAY the price!!! Let's take these terrorists put them under military tribunal jurisdiction ...enough fooling around!!!!! No trial for KSM in New York....that's absurd!! This is war, liberal clods!!!! Face reality. On talk radio someone also remarked that the jihadist boarded the plane without a visa to the United States. Now who flies from Nigeria to Detroit on Christmas day with a ONE WAY Cash paid ticket, without luggage, without a visa, without knowing anyone in the Detroit area, without ever having been in the US before without winter clothes,....in the middle of the winter? It is amazing NO ONE said, "Wait a minute, this guy ain't gettin' on that jet!" Also he was not thoroughly searched or questioned while he fit every profile available for someone requiring extra attention. Thank God he was too stupid or incompetent to set off his explosives....and thus hundreds of lives were saved.
