I don't approve of his lifestyle - but never once asked my government leaders to outlaw it or otherwise restrict it. I really should start lobbying to do away with all those tax breaks though.

A little bit of history may help. OMM was started by the American Family Association/Don Wildmon which was certified as a Hate Group by the SPLC (http://www.splcenter.org/ge.... While they do rail against the 'traditional family values' issues like homosex and abortion, they also lobby for things like oil deregulation and union busting - a few things I don't recall ever reading about in the Bible. But while I was reading it; before becoming atheist, I did come across some other versus that talked about wolves in sheep's clothing, false prophets, the money changers in the temples and knowing people by their actions.

I could claim to be a panda, but really have no expectations that people would take me at my word on that one simply because I have a few things in common with panda bears. For a person with your screen name, you certainly don't appear to have looked at anything beyond what was posted here but were quick to rise to their defense

Why would you title this "Christian group"? There's nothing remotely like that about them. They are a professional hate group/political organization masking themselves as something church going people would actually support.

Quite the opposite. In a statement Wednesday, the city said it was shocked by Ashley's description of herself as "Miss Beverly Hills." The city "does not sponsor a beauty pageant and has no association with Miss California USA," the statement said. "As such, there should be no individual claiming the title of Miss Beverly Hills."

The city's statement said Ashley lives in Pasadena and "does not represent Beverly Hills in any capacity."

Even funnier is that one of the notes is "Tax cuts" - is there a Republican anywhere who doesn't automatically puke that out as an answer to every situation already? She had to write it on her hand as a reminder? I wonder if she calls the kids by name or just "hey you"

I never realized the campaign slogan meant I was to continually 'hope' for 'change' through out the President's entire term. I guess it was worded that way so they could claim that's what they really meant

Just because he can do something, doesn't mean he should. If he did an Exec order and waited for Congress to actually repeal the law, they might still be dicking around with it forever - by the time a new POTUS gets elected, that one could simply repeal the exec order. Where would that leave the troops who came out? Totally screwed.

That being said, he does need to remind Gates that he's the CinC and that he wants this done so that Gates goes to Congress and asks for it. No more studies, no more delays. Put it in the budget and dare the Republicults to vote against the troops in an election year. The poll numbers are all on his side, and as he says, it's the right thing to do

I always found it interesting that some of the most rabid anti-smoking people could go on and on about 2nd hand smoke and how wonderful that it was no longer going to be allowed in bars and restaurants - yet never saw any problem with driving there or criticism of how much more toxic car exhaust on the freeway was.
