Then we lose nothing by having a more equal representation of women speaking at conference from this point forward. If they represent >50% of the population, I can expect the April conference to have >50% women speakers. Because it doesn't matter if the speaker is a man or a woman if God is speaking through them.

Or are you really saying the status quo will continue, and we should just keep silent about the whole thing?

These things are not mutually exclsuive. You are attempting to shame peopel who are angry about what they learn in the church, and disregard what they say based on how they say it.

You do understand that the church owns City Creek Mall in downtown Salt Lake, right? You do know they spent around $1.5B on it's construction, right?

I'm not a troll. Someone stating an opinion that is different from yours and backing it up with facts is not trolling.

I'm not making the mall up. It's easily verifiable.

I would not ever tell you what you had to do. I am merely expressing my opinion on what I think church leaders who espouse to follow Christ would decide to do with hundreds of millions of dollars.

The prophet says "spend hundreds of millions of dollars on 5 new temples". I say "spend it on helping people who are in need".

Yes - I was a recipient of aid from Fast Offering funds earlier in my life.

Those funds are separate from Humanitarian Aid, which the church says averages $40m/year for the last 30 years.

"85% of the world population lives in the driest half of the planet. 783 million people do not have access to clean water and almost 2.5 billion do not have access to adequate sanitation. 6 to 8 million people die annually from the consequences of disasters and water-related diseases." - United Nations 2013 report Year of Water Cooperation.

The church spends far more on temples than it does on Humanitarian aid - approximately double, though that can only be estimated since the cost of temples is not disclosed.

There are 15,000,000 members, 2/3 of whom are inactive, and of the remaining even fewer have temple recommends (worthiness, children who are too young, etc), and fewer than those actually attend. That's a disproportionate amount of money spent on ornate buildings that could literally prevent millions of people from illness and death. Today.

Which do you think Jesus would choose His sacred funds to be spent on?
