In the past, many early backers got packages that included a "Spaceship-shaped USB Drive" and it was mentioned the game would be loaded onto these.

I'd be really surprised if they didn't offer a sale again to the public before they do a production run on the drives.

Re: Star Citizen client expected to be around 100GB

Considering we just had a vote not too long ago about the box art, I imagine a general physical release is in the cards.

Especially since many early backers have "Spaceship-shaped USB Drives" as part of their game packages, and Chris Roberts has mentioned in the past that these would come loaded with the game on them. I would be very surprised if they did not offer a second chance to the general public to buy a USB copy as an add-on before they do a production run.

Though, I'm not sure how many people were envisioning 100GB at the time those initial packages were written up, so I don't know if ~128GB flash drives are cost effective backer rewards (but then again, who knows how cheap flash memory will be when the game releases).

Re: Facebook: Oculus Rift will need to sell 50-100 million units to be "meaningful"

Sure with the current model. Different windows and applications open on each of them.

Certainly, for specialized applications requiring actual high resolution it would be necessary to purchase actual monitors. But for the average joe, you could use them to surf the web, write a paper, have a movie playing, and random tasks - all of them visible at a glance, rather than having to manually sort through windows that fight for screen real estate.

You could even set it up so that screens take priority or zoom as you move your head to look at them.

Re: Facebook: Oculus Rift will need to sell 50-100 million units to be "meaningful"

Simple idea - imagine the rift placing you in front of a virtual workstation, and all 2d content is displayed on virtual monitors; multiple large screens that would cost far more than the rift on its own.

Re: Unbelievable: Textbook for children intentionally changes the 2nd Amendment

This was a teacher made study guide at one school in my district. What confuses me is how such a comment is relevant at all to the content of the post. Somehow I'm missing these transgressions against the sanctity of writers.

So far, the only "review" I've seen has been the typical, "Oh look! A new toy! Some people don't like these toys. I'll tell you if it's fun or not after I've played with it." That's not a review, that's a teaser to a forthcoming review. It's an ad to get readers excited for future content; a pretty standard practice.

There's no price listed, so I have no idea if the mag costs $20 or $400. There's no recommendation. There's no real information for good or for ill. None perils and violated responsibilities being referenced are actually present.

Is this merely a convenient post to air grievances? This is why I usually stay away from comments sections, Caleb. Your posts make it look like you just came to pick a fight.

Re: Fail: Boberg XR9-S Pocket Pistol

Sorry to hear about your bad experience.

I own a Boberg, and my experience has been the complete opposite. I've only ever used Winchester White Box as my cheap ammo for both 9mm and .45, since it's usually the cheapest at walmart in my area. Using that, I've put over 1200 rounds through the Boberg before it started having a malfunction (It would occasionally lock up and require a bit more force to cycle a round) and needed cleaning.

Re: Lurking Rhythmically: Monday Gunday: Accessorizing your SKS, Part 1 (Palette's Product Reviews) - Ponies.
