In response to Podien, there are no public funds in this endeavour. The Province has committed to a repayable loan for the establishment of a craft distillery in Guysborough. To date, such funds have not been drawn.

Beaches and coves often have a special magic on rainy days so we encourage people to discover their special beauty. For those not as adventuresome, it is a good time to visit a local museum or local shop. Or linger over a long lunch. And sometimes it is nice to just relax from travelling and play an old fashioned board game. Your local innkeeper will be pleased to bring them out!

It may be awhile before Google street view makes it to Guysborough! Until then, you'll just have to visit the Buckley Collection in the Nova Scotia Archives online and come visit Guysborough in person to see the changes.

Unfortunately the L'Acadie wines are only sold at the vineyard and select Nova Scotia liquor stores. It will have to be a trip to Nova Scotia in the fall.

We'd invite you to check out Nova Scotia's L’Acadie Vineyards http://www.lacadievineyards.ca L'Acadie is an organic producer with a geothermal winery and is consistently producing some of Canada's best sparkling wines with a recent win at the Canadian Wine Awards. Worth the visit to Nova Scotia!
