I've never really bought into the whole idea that Elk is a smart dresser. It's always been brown pants, circa 1982. We've used it as a format to start off a bi-monthly social group in order to get handicaps for future stableford tournaments. It didn't work well at all and trying to explain the format to someone who had a great round and didn't win, is near impossible.

Re: Wednesday: Not a Total Waste Land

So what did Ryan Moore think of the round? This is quite fascinating to hear Paddy chat about this. I think as fans we all feel like this and it's interesting to hear that even tour players feel the same way. It's not unlike the current format but they get handicapped the first few rounds depending on where they finish and then the final two rounds are just stroke for stroke.

We'll all know where they stand on the leaderboard without all these permutations and it would be ironic and funny to have handicaps introduced to professional golf.

Probably also the reason why it won't happen.

Re: Wei Under Par, As you know, playing one round of golf is the...

"Tis a very long season for them. they earn the money accordingly though.
Imagine if he was an Australian golfer - he'd be expected back on home soil immediately to compete in our summer tournaments. Amongst other things I've grabbed a higher degree in Physics and forward time travel at the moment is theoretically possible in the forwards direction. Backwards has not yet been incorporated as a possibility.
Check out Hawking or some of Paul Davies books. This gives you a start. http://en.wikipedia.org/wik... Most of the references are excellent despite it being Wiki.

Man, I can't believe I may have just outed myself as a major geek now.

Oh and this doesn't mean to say Phil is no longer wacky!
