Jerry,

I agree that in this case I would rather have KI than teague, but in general wouldn't you rather have an Indiana kid over an East coast kid. I get your point about recruiting, but we always get so bent out of shape when the best players in the state go out of state. With that said, I am not that excited about teague. I know he is good, but he doesn't seem that focused or excited about playing for IU.

The officiating definitely didn't do us any favors down the stretch. Actually, they were horrible.

IU will be back soon enough. We need to just relax and enjoy some of the cool moments of this season, such as Santa playing last night. I was happy for him.

It killed me every time that Verdell got stripped from behind when he was bringing it up the floor. I thought for sure it was going to happen again to Story, but then he took it coast to coast.

EJ did have a nice game. He still had a few of his patented moves where he drives in with no where to do and loses the ball, but overall he looked good. He actually shot a nice mid range jump shot off of a screen. That would have been nice to see last year, but Kelvin didn't actually "coach" EJ, so what can you expect.

Did ESPN show any highlights of the Duke UNC game? I didn't notice......
Actually, it was ridiculous how last night and still this morning I couldn't find anything on any of the ESPN networks except coverage of that game. Do they really think that people want to just keep talking about that game for hours and hours. Give me the score and move on.....It is kind of like Super Bowl week when your team is not in the game. Too much coverage.

First of all, am I the only one who enjoys watching this team a heck of a lot more than last year's team. I used to get so pissed at the team last year because they just seemed selfish and lazy. (other than DJ) I am having fun watching this team now that they are competing, even though they dribble it off of their feet every other possession.

Also, is Jobe on scholarship? He is, isn't he? If so, he should be the one that is gone next year. I like Story, he just needs to work on his handles.

It's funny you'd say that. I actually thought that he did a little better in this interview than he has in some past interviews. I get nervous for him whenever he is interviewed. In a way, I like that about him. He is humble. But you are right, he just needs to relax and enjoy the interview. There are many more to come.

I don't care how good he ends up being, it is an interesting story. It is good to see a guy pass up a scholarship to fulfill a dream to play for IU, regardless of the coach.

I thought it was cool how Crean said that he understood what the candy striped pants were all about (i'm paraphrasing). It is a little thing, but some stuff like that is important to a lot of hoosier fans.

Also, when we think about all of the players that we could lose, just remember how terrible Purdue was the last couple of years. They tore it down, started over, and it turned out pretty good.

I really liked what he said about IU being bigger than any one person (referring to the great players and coaches that have come through IU). He repeated that again when someone asked about Bassett and Ellis. Playing for IU is a big responsibility and you represent a lot of people (past players, alumni, current students, etc.) With that said, I agree that he will make the right call regarding AB and JE. He will find out what is really going on with the current players, and I think he will make the right decision.

What is going on here? We speculate for days on end and then 2 different coaches are reported within minutes of each other.

Forde mentioned Krueger, brownell, montgomery, and Crean, but it just seemed like a bunch of speculation. He did say that Krueger would be a good choice and that he has won everywhere.

Regarding DD, I like him and I don't blame him for what happened. I DON"T think he should be our coach, but I blame the players for what happened. They had a one on one meeting with DD discussing things like going to class and coming to meetings, and then they were several hours late to the next meeting. They then chose not to come and run even though they knew that they would get kicked off. They made the choice, not DD.

During the interview, DD got a page saying that everyone had gone to class that day, and Thomas had done well on something (he didn't say what). DD seems genuinely concerned about cleaning up our program. I don't blame him for that.

JMV just said that someone from WGN is reporting Krueger and that he may be on the show soon.
