A very significant evolution in the SPX has occurred in 2014. Both bottoms at $1738 in February and $1821 in October have ended at the lower dotted blue. Both these bottoms have been followed by very high velocity/intensity moves upwards. The "potential" of this chart is at upper black.......of course, not in a straight line.....but not too far out in the future.....

......channels highlighted....if one was to keep in mind that the bottom in 2009 was an "abnormal" low, and look for what was/were "normal" bottom(s), a new channel could be plotted in place of the blue one..... this would reveal the potential upside of where the $RUT could go.....

Doing well, fd and hope you are too. Weather's been beautiful these last few weeks, especially the mornings and evenings......great for tennis!! Remain long this market at about .40 beta....looking to go 1.00 very soon.....mostly with VTI.

The intent was to show the 2 prior descending channels.....the top orange and top red have coincided with the low in the SPX so far......possibly a bottom or very close to it ( we could easily revisit that low very soon) .....the channel below the chart is a RSI channel and yes a break out of that channel to the upside would be a buy.....

$SPX quarter ending June 2014 was $1960.23. Presently @ $1979.....tomorrow marks the end of Sept. quarter. If close above June close, it will mark 7 consecutive quarters positive.....

Notice the stochastic channel. It had broken a couple days ago....appears safe as of the close today.
(It could very well be the "weak bounce" that chaunceyherbie was referring to below.)
Monthly chart.....resolves only at END of the month. No bias, either way!!

Based on stochastic and RSI channels, and supported by 3/5/8/13 DEMA and 10/20 DEMA crossovers, the TSLA chart appears to be in big trouble.
