The problem the NYT staffers were talking about is their fear that more aggressive police will beat up reporters, especially black reporters, as well as citizens.

Beating and killing citizens is a story. Doing the same to reporters is a sacrilege and a disaster.

AOC got billions of dollars worth of free publicity because of her looks. That ultimately is the fault of the general public, and the media that exploit us all.

If they were suspected of knife attacks then they weren't in custody at the time of their deaths. Mr Floyd was already in custody when he was killed. I think that's a difference.

Can you provide links to the headlines about the cop killings you refer to? I have no reason to support murder by anybody and I'd like to check out these stories.

There's also the question of exactly what damage the cultural differences wreak on the students. The entire education of a student could be injured, permanently injuring the mental performance of the student in school and in life. Alternatively, only the SAT test scores could be skewed downward, making the test a poor measure.

The response to the problem depends on the nature of the damage.

I think I'm approaching the same analysis of "Drew" about disparities.

It should also be understood that the UN and the Arab world tacitly accepted Jordan's right to acquire territory by war, when Jordan took the "West Bank" in 1948. This establishes a legal precedent. Jordan took the area by defeating the Israeli army in the war of 1948.

In the war of June 1967, Israel took the territory back from Jordan. This was under the precedent described above.

In November of 1967, the UN security council passed Resolution 242 including:
"inadmissibility of the acquisition of territory by war".
This was not only an Ex Post Facto law, but is clearly a case of one law for Arabs and another law for Jews. There is no reason for us to accept this blatant discrimination. Nobody else should tolerate it either.

The Universal Declaration of Human Rights expressly forbids Ex Post Facto laws. Yet this principle is applied to Israel.
