Still Shannon and I recognised faces in the morning check in queue on Tuesday which was weird... but nice.

Re: How many ways can THQ’s Space Marine game rip off Gears of War?

Okay a post update comment.

Your update/retraction/whatever is based on the premise that you wanted to compare the two games in look and feel.

You claim that in some cases you thought you were being funny, but have realised that you did not come across as such.

Really the biggest sin here is one of the oldest. Don't judge a book by the cover. Otherwise the entire post can be boiled down to "Yup, looks like it's a video game."

You didn't draw conclusions. You didn't do research and you didn't even try. Your piece started and ended as "that looks like this thing I saw once but I didn't bother looking closely because... trust me I totally know I'm right".

Honestly, what sort of reaction did you expect?

Re: Mythic Trip: Conclusion... or is it?

So very very jealous.

Re: Why Roper has to Go

I've been following this one rather closely myself through a friend. She took up Champions Online based on what was seen in Beta/Headstart and the creator.

Since then it's been nothing but a downward spiral. The question we each ask most often is "They did X in CoX, how is it they got it wrong here?"

Re: Man Bites Dog

You know? The Truth was my first ever Discworld book. Someone bought it for me thinking it was Robert Rankin.

I was instantly hooked.

Have you tried the Dresden Files?

Re: Mounts of Warhammer

Beercopter for win!

I dont care if my Runepriest cant clear a hedge, it's the best and dwarfiest mount imaginable.

Re: NDA has dropped - almost everywhere

Arb does have the point that someone screwed up there. Five hours tween Virginia and Dublin isn't that hard to cope with. And the logic I got on the Vault boards from some random guy of "well Europe wont see it" is daft.

Still, I might harass GOA later for an answer:P

Re: Disciple of Khaine - Abilities

Wow. Beyond that, I will admit it's going to be amusing (or not) to see how many folks mirror various tidbits.
