First off, it wan't 50 years ago, and i guess you are also just fine that he "adopted" a 16 year old girl he had sex with too.

Look, have whatever view points you wish to have, in America you are entitled to that, but don't try to come off like you are some sort of holier than thou, "I did everything right" type of person.
The way Nugent avoided serving his country is shameful. What he did was board line perverse and VERY disgusting. He has no right telling americans how to live, work or act. Go ahead Richard and try to tell me that you don't judge people on what they did 40 years ago, or even yesterday, because the only person you'd be lying to is yourself.
I don't live in a cave like you apparently do, and as far as musicians, I have more talent in my pinky toe than this guy ever did. He hasn't sold out an arena bigger than 1500 people in 20 years. In fact, when he last played the House of Blues here in Chicago, they had to BEG people to come see him by giving over 60% of the tickets to a venue that seats less than 1000, away.
I am sick of his obvious hatred towards other Americans and our flag, but if you feel like he holds some sort of intelligence in life, well...more power to you. Join the ranks of the completely misguided. The guy got kicked out of his own band. How's that for ya?

Ted Nugent was to chicken to serve his country when he got drafted. So anything he might have an opinion on is beyond stupid.

He claims to be a flag waving, military loving American, and yet his actions show otherwise. He should take his 1435 fans and form his own country, preferably far away from America, where, last time I checked almost 100% of the population came from somewhere else.

He calls himself a survivalist, and yet he got thrown out of his own band. He hasn't had a record that brought any attention to anyone but 13 year old pimply faced boys in 30 years. His track record for intelligence can't quite make it past the fifth grade and he adopted a 16 year old girl, who he later married, so that he could have sex with her.

Anyone holding this guy up as some sort of moral standard as to how America should be, should check into the nearest mental hospital. He is not the hero, fun loving, rock 'n roll guy he portrays himself out to be. His lyrics are one dimensional at best, and he only knows the three cords he was taught over 40 years ago. He is hardly the person anyone should turn to for advice, and he is absolutely no role model for the American way of thinking. He is a bone-a-fide loser has been than has less talent then the summer crickets chirping outside my window.

You may have been many things back in the sixties, but an American hating communist probably wasn't one of them if you actually lived here in this country. How Nugent avoided going to serve his country is BEYOND shameful. It is disgusting. Besides that little mark on his underwear, he also had sex with a minor that he had adopted. I don't see any evidence that Sharia law is passing the bar here in America, but I suppose if you keep listening to people like Glenn Beck who barely finished high school, and Ted Nugent who is just as talentless today as he was 40 years ago, I can see where you made your mistakes.

Go ahead, tout this guy as some sort of great american, but just looking at his track record tells me he is anything but.

Nonsense? I served our country in South Vietnam in active duty while this guy wet his pants to avoid going to war. He writes opinion pieces in this newspaper about how the United states military should do body counts. Where was he when the United states called his draft number? He has no right spewing the garbage he spews on this papers editorial pages for the simple fact that he is a lying hypocrite who can't stand to be criticized.
Maybe you are OK with him having sex with minors and not serving his country in the most profane disgustingly vile way imaginable, but, after taking bullets to my body, and seeing the friends I had die before my eyes, it is absolutely painful for me to see all these comments glorifying this man as if he is some sort of hero. To me, this guy reeks of complete incompetence, and his message is one of hate.

If he doesn't love his country which had Asian, Mexicans, Arabs and Africans living here years before he was even born, he should move somewhere else and take his coward actions with him.

Would that mean intermingling of the races Ted? What else could it mean. He feels his white ethnicity is threatened. It's easy to proclaim the 'murcan quality of life as the greatest ever if you've never had to sit in the back of the bus, struggled as an immigrant or walked point in SE Asia. Things that this dirtbag doesn't accept as part of the American Experience.

We're a nation of more than 300,000,000 people. People who've come from every town and country in the world to make a better life for their families in a nation that never accepted them.

Scum like Nugent have never accepted that we're one nation but many different cultures. We're not all spoiled has been rockers who've lived lives of privilege. Believe it or not, some of us have never had sexual relations with our underage charges, used copious amounts of alcohol or shat our trousers to avoid serving our country.

I know to some, those things qualify one as a "patriot" with strong family values, but I'd prefer the company of hard core heroin addicts and hookers rather than a cheap draft dodging punk writing for a paper owned by a religious cult.

I don't need to tell you anything about me other than the fact that I served this country honorable in Vietnam and scum like Nugent chickened out while I watched my fellow Marines die. I fought for a free America. An America, last time I checked that held high its diverse ideas and stood with pride that not everyone was of the same ethnic origins, background, religion or creed.
While Ted was wetting his underwear to avoid getting on a plane and going deep in the brush of the dense forest of South Vietnam, I was taking shrapnel in Keh Sanii and fighting with the few remaining South Vietnamese who were left to defend it.

There are plenty of white only countries, move to one of them if you aren't happy with the black "situation" or the hispanic "problem"

You know what makes me read his column? I want to hear both sides of an argument and like to understand how different people think, but because he is another know nothing do little, and he acts like he knows everything, I have to laugh.

I take you might be a Marine. I served in the Corps for three tours of duty during Vietnam. Nugent got a medical deferment for pooping in his pants. It is on record, and he does not deny it. How does that make you feel about him? Honestly, I don't care about your ignorant use of language by referring to someone as a coon, but Marine to Marine, Corps to the core, you'd really carry water for a guy who got out of serving his country by eating junk food and marking his underwear for a month?

And that my good white American friends is why I have a problem with private poop pants. I served my country, the country I love, and this guy drank Pepsi and didn't use the toilet in his parents house.

I served three tours of duty as a Marine in Vietnam. Meanwhile Ted Nugent, who isn't in any denial about how he avoided the draft when his number came up, sat in his poop for a month, drank only Pepsi and ate only junk food so he could get a medical deferment when his physical was due.

Never heard of him, don't know who he is or what he actually does for a living, where he is from or his educational background, but, knowing he is subbing for Rush, is about all I really need to know to form an expert opinon about his thought process.
