I agree. If your taxes are super complicated, meeting with an accountant is a must. If they're straightforward, Turbo Tax is an awesome way to walk through them. :)

I totally agree! It didn't make the list, as I was focusing on clothing. As you can see in the photo, my kids all wear ski helmets. My husband and I do, too. It's not required by law in B.C., but keeping our heads protected is important.

Two winters ago, my kids were in ski lessons. My middle child had his ski get caught on a root and he slammed face down to the ground. His collarbone was fractured. His goggles on his helmet were shattered. If he had not been wearing a helmet...I don't even want to think about what could have happened.

Thanks so much for pointing it out! Maybe I should write an article on ski safety. :)

I've been out for dinner with Ali a few times where she can pretty much not eat ANYTHING.

To give you some hope about outgrowing it, one of Graham's (My almost-seventh-grader) best friends had a severe peanut allergy when he was younger. Now, he can eat peanut butter sandwiches. :)

I'm envious that you live somewhere where you can shop at farmers markets all year round! My husband grows us a fabulous garden in the summer, and we buy what we don't grow at local fruit stands, but in the winter, nothing grows here. :)
