The general theme reminds me of something I've been thinking about a lot lately with regards to my own goals and productivity: the tendency to band aid.

In general, my natural bias is to add solutions rather than to remove causes.

And lately, I've been seeing more and more that it's inefficient and leads to greater stress and confusion, each solution bringing more moving parts to the equation.

IDing those inefficiencies and working at the root is a habit I'm working to build.

Re: Stand Out, Serve Hard, Sell Soft & Get Traffic (FS085)

Unrelated to the content, but I just wanted to say that I've been a fan of Brian Wampler (one of the listeners whose Qs were addressed here) and his guitar-tone wizardry for about a decade now. If you play an electronic instrument, you owe it to everyone listening to check out his pedals. Tone does not lie.

Re: The Most Comprehensive Handstand Tutorial

Well done, sir. It's not just a leg/core thing like the hanging leg raise. So there's nothing wrong with that exercise, but it's not providing the same total benefit.

Re: Get Tuggin’ – Pull-Up Progression for Greater Strength and a Healthier Body

Sure thing. Hanging is a good exercise to experiment with both dead hang (relaxed) and active, where you hang while trying to pull the arm down into the shoulder socket. Play with those and see how it all feels.

Re: Get Tuggin’ – Pull-Up Progression for Greater Strength and a Healthier Body

Anything can be damaging if you do it wrong or if you are weak. Do you have a specific reason to be worried about damage to your elbows? Pains?

As long as you use good form and gradually let your body adapt to the work, your body should be able to tolerate and grow stronger from the stresses of relaxed hanging in addition to the actual pull-up exercise.

If you're finding that it doesn't, you might need to see a doctor.

Re: Welcome – UGH

Thanks Gary! This article simply sums up my experience after researching for about a decade and working with thousands of clients. And even though I've got a pretty solid grasp of what works, I've written this to be a clear as possible on the point that individual needs will vary.

If you take offense with that, you're being silly.

As noted in the article, you can choose not to eat meat. That's a choice for you to make. But when people ask us for advice, we're going to tell them the thing that's proven effective in our experience.

If you want to be offended by something, I'd suggest getting involved in local politics. Being angry at a dude on the internet for giving well-intentioned advice that you happen to disagree with is a terrible waste of your energy.

Re: A (not THE) Foolproof Guide to Nutrition

You're welcome to be disappointed, but if you actually read the article you'll see that all of your criticisms have been addressed. To wit:

- Nutrition is individual
- You're welcome to have your own preferences about meat, but we like it
- Supplements are not ideal but are typically necessary to fill gaps

Take it or leave it, but save us your completely unsupported arguments about what what "the world of science" (LMAO) say about a vegetarian diet and the equally empty claims that "most" supplements have been proven ineffective.

Re: Welcome – UGH

Thanks so much for that!
