My multi-meter showed an AC voltage of only around 0.2V, thus not reaching the 0.6V specified in the post. Thus no big surprise.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;However, I did a bit more experimenting and managed to make this circuit work by powering the control signal from my MacBook Air laptop (and using the AudioTest software to generate the 50Hz pulse).  Interestingly the circuit didn't work at first, but it did work after I removed the 0.1 microF capacitor and connected the control signal directly into the servo connector. The video shows me playing a series of audio files with different pulse width 5% thru 10% (1ms through 2ms).
