I regret that now. I fear I took his openness and good natured personality for granted. I wish I had spent more time with him and made the effort to do so.

Re: Will Google Crack Down On Sites Leasing Out Its Subdomains

That sounds like leasing to me. That's a succinct but effective write-up of Black Panther. I'm looking forward to watching it myself - perhaps later this week - and it's good to see the review star total the film has managed to score here. That's a high score but seems inline with what other sites are reporting too!

Re: Spooky Halloween Costumes: Google Algorithm Updates Costumes

None of them look old enough to remember Florida! :)

Re: Google Mocks SEO Experts Who Place Mass Content On Footer

This wasn't an official comment from Google. Barry does us all a great favour by tracking and reporting on those few Googlers with inside SEO knowledge and who communicate with us.

I don't understand why he's getting flack for this. The Tweets are presented "as is" and it's hard to imagine that confuses anyone.

Re: Via Bella: Racial Differences Should Unite Not Divide

Very true! Racial differences should be celebrated as diversity. I think problems arise when people feel threatened by change. They’re insecure and weak and so they lash out. This is all avoidable though, this is a learned fear, and it can be unlearned.

Re: My Look For Fashion Industry Insiders Networking Event – London

Rocking quite the style there. You're right.

I think you're doing the great work above a disfavor by using terms like 'predictions' though. We don't know what demand will be so we can't really make sort of prediction... but what you've shown is how to build an excellent model.

Models are great. Some of the most impressive finance companies in this world build models to work out where to invest and if they can do it then so can we. The next step is getting clients on board - let's have us make models with clients that successfully show what the ROI will be if the model is right (and we can have more than one model too...) rather than spend all this time on something we cling to calling a prediction and therefore have to write-off as 'likely to be wrong'.

Re: Interview: can you forecast SEO? Google has to be seen to be taking a firm stance on this sort of thing and so may well now feel the urge to remind and encourage brands that any links earned through sponsorships should be carefully nofollowed. What next? Football clubs reminding fan sites to use nofollow on their links if they reference the sport club's main URL.

How does this help the SEO community at all? It doesn't. It's self-defeating point scoring against Google.

As Barry sensibly and wisely pointed out in his post; it's clear Google's intent was not to buy a link.

Re: SEO finally comes to organic Facebook posts

Email would be good.

Re: SEO finally comes to organic Facebook posts

Maybe!
