Our family moved from St. Louis Park to Eau Claire, Wisconsin when I was six. I moved back to Minneapolis when I graduated high school to go to the U of MN and lived there for 12 years. Mostly in uptown! I'll actually be back for the Minnesota State Fair as it's a huge family tradition for us.

Thanks again Nicole!

xo

Re: My Way: Andrea Crossman

Hey Cindy! I got so into it that I even photo-journaled the entire 4 days of my "My Way" experience! Yes, I LOVE the notes from the universe, they are fantastic and I've been evangelizing them for a few years. I really think they increase quality of life. It's so funny that you would make this comment today, because just yesterday I added them as a regular part of my new blog for my business Lovemore. I have a relatively new love-infused clothing and green living gear line, so stories like this, featuring someone who hustles for what is in their heart, are soul food for me. We are actually a Brooklyn based small business and when we shot our first catalog last year Brooklyn 2.0 by Jay-Z was THE soundtrack. I too find him super inspiring, and very motivating. Thanks for the great article. In these crazy times putting strategy and hope in the hustle is more important than ever.

Re: yuuuummmmmmm

Awesome! Vanilla is a good add in too!

Re: Okay tumblr vegan/healthfoodie peoples

The very easiest is this: always use a banana, use avocado if you want even more creaminess, then add frozen strawberries, raspberries or peaches, or fresh pineapple or mango, or a combination of all of those fruits. For the green, baby spinach is totally non-noticeable. I add parsley too for even more green goodness. Let me know how this works for you. I got my whole family on green smoothies after my aunt died of cancer in January...sad, but a good health move for us, and we wouldn't do it if it wasn't tasty. Also, if you don't have one already a VitaMix changes the whole story. Everything is so so so much better. It's seriously the best health investment I've ever made. You can buy a refurb one on their site to save a little cash. I hope you enjoy!

Re: carrot oatmeal cookies

Awesome that you made these & that they were delicious. Go to the I want to..."master cleanse" section. You will find my tips (and weak moments) on there if you search for "shantiveggiegirl." You'll also find an awesome post cleanse soup recipe! Good luck, detoxing is awesome. If you can find an infrared sauna too (google that plus where you live) to do a few times it would be awesome for you.

xo
