They work together. A rivalry garners more focus to certain brands, and the ones left out of the rivalry don't get as much attention. Coca Cola an Pepsi- co have heads who sit in company meetings together. Check out this site (link in name). You can click, find connection to see who worked with who from information collected in 2004. It may be a bit outdated now, but it still gives a basic understanding of corporate connection, and fake rivalry.

Re: JR 'N' COCKY!

hahaha

Re: JR 'N' COCKY!

but.... sugizo has no anagram

Re: Collision: Hitchens vs Wilson

I always felt that Dawkins knew way more than hitchens did. Sometimes when Hitchens debates, he slips up on some of the simplest things. He fails to answer elementary questions and makes it seem like his opponent is correct.

I just find it aggravating, because the mistakes could have been easily alleviated with a bit more studying.

Re: Awash in Dir en grey PVs

Also, C, Jesus christ RnR, Itoshiha whatever whatever.
That was a great album. but the album came out when their performances were at their worst.

Kyo refused to sing any of the lyrics - instead he kinda stared blankly into the audience, or mumble growled. The guitarists looked like they didn't want to be on the same stage as each other, and stayed rooted in one point.

Great album, but the music was better than the band at the point.

Re: review: chemical pictures | "praparat" (pv)

Amazing! I love this song. I hadn't gotten to listen to much other CP(aside from the website stuff) due to the fact that the cd ain't available here.

I had no idea it would be this Amazing!!! It's always so awesome when someone you know (even if it's just remotely) does something incredible.
Keep on rocking JIMI and Co.

Re: I don't even think this qualifies as ~half~ass

A *real* dance video would have worked for this song - though I know the possibility of that was slim . If the guys spent like a month in a good hip hop choreo, or club style choreo class, they could have come up with something really cool and fun for the video.

Also I envisioned an ultra shiny, advanced looking world when i heard the song. They didn't completely let down, but the video looks like tron.

Cute video to add to their collection - but they had many more skill oriented options available.

Re: He's mostly right (like PETA), and yet, still douchey (like PETA)

Nahhhhh. That's just silly.

Kanye's Workout Plan is one of my favorite songs. It's a fun original idea for a rapper to put out. The music is well composed on that particular track as well, if you actually hear the song out.

I enjoyed the majority of the entire Late Registration album as well. Rare samples, progressive composition, funny and thoughtful rhymes made for a great listening experience.

For hip hop the album, set new standards while reminding others of the pinnacles of older generations.

I really don't like what he did - by crushing Taylor Swift's moment. It was just plain hurtful and uncalled for. However I think it's silly to jab at his career, and work which is unrelated. As well as people who enjoyed it.

Re: Exist Trace's New Look

The girl left of Miko, reminded me of David Bowie's look, from Labyrinth.
Miko is very cute here.

Re: Gaijin VK Gets Even More Legit

Madd cool. I dig the song, video and production. Tho I have to admit to a pang of envy, for not having the money to pull this off. Are these guys signed to a label by chance?

Re: review: brown eyed girls | "abracadabra" pv (2009)

Legs indeed!
However, Genie never reaches it's full potential. The song starts of strong. A surprising verse leads into a catchy chorus. But then the song rehashes. Where it should build on the momentum, it just coasts. By the end it loses steam.

The girls just didn't show passion singing the song - an SM didn't show interest in writing it.
They didn't write it by the way. A songwriter wrote and sold the song to SM, after having given it to another artist (Dineyra), without permission. The song is exactly the same, and doesn't seem tailored to the girls, because SM probably rushed it due to this leak.

Re: review: brown eyed girls | "abracadabra" pv (2009)

Not better than Gee, but definitely good. For a dance song, it has an interesting enough arrangement.

(a)Rhythmic speaking verse, (b)into melodic verse. Melodic verse into (c)2 part chorus. chorus back to verse (A) and (b) into (c) chorus. Then a rap(d), which added a new texture to the song. A small instrumental break(e), for fun dance time, (c) a slightly different version of the chorus and (f) dancing off with a final verse.

I thought the dancing fit the song as well. It had a vibe of cool, seductive baddassery. The parts that seemed more sexual were in the "story" part. Dude was creepin, so the girls decided to seduce and whack him.

I love Gee, but it's a different type of song. Check abracadabra out again. You might like it. Though you'd have to hear it in a different mindset.

I realized i liked it, when listening without the video. Maybe that will help.

Re: review: mucc | "sora to ito" (2009)

bah. vocoder. otherwise the song is pretty cool. I really love the vocal melody.
