This is a really important issue, not least of all given the outsize negative effect the criminalization of cannabis has had on people of color. Efforts to make the burgeoning legal industry more inclusive should be top priority.

Yep, I started on Jan. 1, vowing to write every day this year. One post got posted after midnight, and one day I skipped because reasons. But it's been great for me.

Some of my posts are pretty lame, but most get some stuff out of my brain.

Yes! I actually have to have some alone time to think and during the summer, my husband takes the boys to his mom's in the mountains during the week. Those weeknights alone in my house help me recharge for the entire rest of the year when the house is a noisy, noisy place. Need to carve out more time during the rest of the year when I just think.

TBH, Social Media Examiner doesn't pay speakers for their time other than travel and hotel (which, yes, is still better than others). Has that changed?

I saw Sydney & William discuss this here in NYC, and it was fascinating to hear how differently GenZ regards the Internet. Huge users of Google Plus because of Hangouts, for example. (Now separate things, but still.) Great for a peek into how the next generation uses (and doesn't use) technology & the Internet.

I worked with Radish Lab on a "big data" project and it was an incredible pleasure. Their ability to marry UX with an enormous (and "dirty" as in not cleaned up) database was masterful and I cannot say enough how much I recommend this session for anyone who wants to understand how to do work like this.
