jazaakum Allahu khayran. It's hard finding explanations/sharh of hadeeth in English today, although there are so many amazing works by the scholars available in Arabic.

Jazaakum Allahu khayran for posting. I remember shaykh Yasir Qadhi saying that even though we can buy books that contain more knowledge than Imam Bukhari rahimahullah had, there aren't any Bukharis walking around.

Hamza 21: I understand the confusion, but actually what is stated is correct.

The scholars do not consider Names that come in the idaafah (possessive) form as Names, but rather as a Sifah, an Attribute. Al-Maalik does not come in the Qur'an by itself as a Name, but it comes as a possessive case such as:

Maaliki yaumid Deen or as in the article, Maalik al Mulk.

According to some scholars Maalikul Mulk is not a separate Name but only a Sifah, a description, under the Name Maalik. Why is this so – because it is in Mudaf (possessive case).

InshaAllah Imam Suhaib can clear it up as well, this is what I have learned and Allah azza wa jal knows best.

SubhanAllah, may Allah bless the shaykh and protect him.

A few years ago he was one of the mashaykh scheduled to teach us in the haramain, however he could not attend and I was truly saddened that I missed the opportunity to learn from him hafidhahullah.
