As far as many people in my family are concerned, meat and potatoes are the only way to get your protein and fiber. When I introduce one of them to a new, healthier food, they tell me that that never even knew this food was out there. Paula is in a position to show people what their options are, without losing her fan base.

Re: Blogger: Sign in

That lettuce tree looks awesome! I want one, but I have no idea where I would put it. Shadow would probably eat it all anyway! The lucuma fruit was interesting, I would have liked to try it too. The smoothie sounds yummy, I've been craving so much fruit lately.
It's very sunny there, have you noticed any mood changes? Rory says that more Vitamin D would help my mood. It's so rainy here in Portland, I'm not sure if I could do it forever.
I hope your having a great time! You are missed!

Re: More Catching Up

He is growing so fast! I know we scheduled walking started April 1st, but I've had limited access to the internet this entire time. But never fear, I lived up to the challange! The last 2 days I have been walking, but now nearly as far as you do lol! Today we (Rory, Isabel, and myself) discoved that there is nearly a mile of forest in our back yard, all going steeply up hill (we live on a small mountain), It was a lot of fun to go out there as a family and get a cardio work out. I'm not sure if I want to do that again though, since when we came back I was absolutely covered in deer ticks! Thanks for inspiring me!

Re: Mango-Luscious Green Smoothie

I made this tonight, it was super tasty! I have a hypothesis... I was always telling my husband that I love GT's, but I like ours better because ours doesn't taste like metal. Sometimes when I drink theirs I get a real strong metal flavor and wondered if maybe the metal from the lid could leach into the drink. I dunno, maybe I'm just crazy, but that's my hypothesis. My favorite flavor is mango, I haven't tried their new ones yet. yum!
