Thanks, I will try this as a last resort. But I am still stuck at the recovery mode and when I plug the phone to iTunes it asks me to restore, I have done that as well but still when I run redsn0w it get's stuck at the WAITING TO REBOOT screen. What else can I do to make it work on 3.0 ?

One interesting thing is that when I plug the phone to iTunes and restore it, it's shows my local carrier's name and I get messages from people which are flashed on the screen...so I am not sure what's happening here :-/

jahliones - how did it work for you? I am also stuck at the same screen for sometime now. I tried it 2-3 times.. Please advise.

I have the same problem. But when I connect the phone to computer, iTunes says that it has detected a phone in a recovery mode and needs to restore before it can be used with iTunes. Please advise if I should follow that OR follow the procedure above to unbrick the phone. (I am not sure what is a bricked phone) Also, if you can give me a link to download ultrasnow RC3, I am just not able to find it on the net.

I am using a 2G iphone and followed all the steps diligently. But I am stuck at waiting to reboot for 30 mins, tried this again and still doesn't move beyond this screen. Can someone please help so that I can make it to work again?

iPhonew, I saw a post where you mentioned to someone with a similar problem that it's bricked and you advised him to do the install once again using Ultrasn0w. Can you please help me with this.. Thanks so much in advance.
