It's a first year hire - no idea if they're semi-skilled, and given our school district, I wouldn't count on it. Sigh.

This *does* mean that nagging my way into the schedule I want will be a bit more difficult then it usually is though.

He likes computers, which is good, but he can't write for his life, and he's also trying to avoid being Alli's Brother. I'm sure he'll be fine, but...it's nerve wracking.

Heh, I'm not upset about not getting the award; I think one of my friends deserves it more, but it was just flat out ridiculous. They give the awards to give kids stuff to put on their resumes, and it doesn't matter, but it's stupid. I hate stupidity.

I'd say we'll do better in the long run, but he's going to be mad successful to, so I'll just go with "it doesn't matter"

Yes yes! I love volunteering too, especially with children. Babysitting is actually one of my favorite things to do (albeit with the right kids). This summer will be fun - hundreds of babies! Squee! Even if I only get to play with them for 15 minutes...

Good luck in the fight for nerd-dom. I hope you succeed! I've actually found that young kids (under 8, say) are actually pretty good with the nerd thing - they even manage to get excited about learning new things! I've succeeded with assorted kids, but my ultimate goal is my brother. He's such a jock! *facepalm*

Fankoo. I don't have much hope (yesterday I got to sleep at 3 am, the day before at 2 with periodic wake ups until 12) but mayhaps the spiffy sheep with help.

But then Bench must also promise to at least consider the concept of sleep while surrounded with capitalism and nuclear war and social work stuffs.

heh, it's extremely cute, but apparently he writes in the little notebook that he carries around, where it just globs. Transfering stuff from where he typed it onto facebook and putting in stanzas is a novel concept...sigh. Very, very cute, but frustrating from a literary level, since he doesn't actually think about the structure of the poetry. I drop the third line of the overview and concede that he is not the brightest bulb (although the non-fluffy glowing green water that makes us all radioactive probably helps!)

Disqus! (I was completely shocked when I realized that pronounced phonetically it's "discuss"...heh, Allizorz is a slow creature sometimes!) You need to install the code for commenting - it's not automatic. Methinks you have a disqus account already, so play around with admin and help until you find the code for tumblr accounts. Then go to customize (on tumblr), theme, custom HTML, and insert as directed!

I be having such intense PCTYD right now.

I'm sorry about the "helping" - I got lucky with the kids I tutor, they're incredibly sweet and hardworking enough to get by with some help, but I can imagine how fun that is. *hug*

Thanks! It did taste good - adding vanilla extract to the fondant made it actually pretty tasty :)
The teacher didn't appreciate it at all though -a bunch of other groups got an "amazing!!" and we got...a look. *sigh*

Read a book you used to love in middle school! Tamora Pierce is my go to on fuzzy-head days.

And I completely sympathize with the worry about not having anything without classes. It’s pretty sad how little I have to do without studying or classwork.

Also, I agree with Bench (hehe, park ornament...). Don't worry.
