Whether it was a setup or not is largely irrelevant. I teach with too many teachers whose idea of teaching is handing out packets, just as this young man complained about. Teaching is about discussion, and facilitating. You can't just shove a book or a packet at a teen and expect him to learn.

Update - the iHangy Music necklace actually fits in thicker cases, like the Otterbox. I have not been a day without my iHangy in two weeks now. I LOVE this product!!

Very valid points. I don't worry so much about disadvantaged students - most tablets do text to speech, and one armed students are already carrying the same load of books as their two-armed peers. But being tied to a single system is limiting. Of course most of our public schools are now tied to Windows, so it may not be that much of a stretch.

I removed the Lifeproof case to try a few other cases and almost instantly went back to it. Without it I feel exposed.

I tried Echofon. Really did not like it at all. Didn't help that it wasn't pushing notifications. I'm ready to just use Tweetbot and double size it on my iPad.

Both my laptops are now on RTM Win 7 Ultimate. This is what Vista SHOULD HAVE BEEN. It is flawless. It works with every peripheral and is lacking no drivers (which was the main problem when Vista was initially released).

I have one machine on 64 bit, and one at the standard 32. Both perform perfectly. (Incidentally, I've been using Win 7 since the first beta release, so I've had it long enough to be sure.)

I went from the 450 minute to the 900 minute plan just so I would qualify. I talk to my mother for an hour every day - on her landline. That's 1200 weekday minutes right there. And no, due to time difference and social commitments, we can't talk at night. This is a godsend for me.

Adding in a Google Voice number as a VIP number? It's like saying unlimited talk for $59/month.

Those of you still hungering for text messaging - try WhatsApp for your iPhone contacts. It amounts to free sms.

I wonder if they will still insist on one of their SE plans for this little toy, or if they are anxious enough for people to get their hands on a WebOS device to allow users to keep old SERO plans. I know far more people who would extend a Sprint (boo!) contract on their old SERO plan for this, than were willing to get a new contract and try a Pre.
