You go girl!! I trained for a marathon with Team in Training, and it was an amazing challenge. Sounds cliche, but you will not forget those early mornings when you are feeling tired or worn down any other time. At work, I constantly remind myself, I ran a freakin' marathon, woke up at god-awful hours to do it, this can't be stressing me out! Works like a charm every time!

Okay, enough with the etiquette lesson. I'm one of the readers Mary is "calling out" and I thanked her three separate times over email, just not after I received the gift. I'm not entitled, selfish, or rude, I just forgot to email after my mom received it.

To be fair, for the Mother's Day challenge, we had to submit our ideas to Mary, and she chose winners. When I corresponded with her, I said thank you plenty of times, but I did win a prize, right? Do you write a thank you note to the donor when you win a raffle? Didn't think so.

I am a little hurt being called out, and in some ways it's actually calling out (very publicly) the people that most like and participate in your blog. So yeah, I'll take a break.

Word, Carmen. I totally agree with you. The irony is that I think these readers are probably telling themselves that they're doing a service, when in fact they're being incredibly hypocritical. Where do people get off policing the blog at this extreme level?? Guess what, she's going to conflict with her previous statements....that's because it's an honest and thoughtful blog.

So because it's not serious journalism, she doesn't deserve credit from her readers for changing her content based on their demands? If you're going to give feedback or criticism, which she obviously takes seriously, then you should know the blog, and like anything else, give credit where credit is due. Sorry if I'm mistaken, but there are lots of bloggers and magazines that would be considered in the "fluffy lifestyle" department that actually are doing a lot better than news organizations right now. Many businesses/brands/bloggers are both a business and promoting mindless lifestyle fluff, I don't really understand why she or anyone has to be one and can't be both.

I find this all pretty hilarious. What do you want from a blog? It's a freakin' lifestyle blog people....OF COURSE it's "crass consumerism." Mary owns it, she's suggesting things that she likes, if you're only here for pictures of Mason, then you're out of luck. Also, anyone that's read Mary's blog for more than three days knows that she is actually integrating a ton of content that's not just pushing brands. She gets so much shit for fashion posts (they're mindless, consumerist, materialistic, vapid), and in this last one, she's actually trying to take out the consumerism aspect of it, and post trends. She's trying to change based on reader feedback, and yet she gets zero credit for it.

2. I have really strong legs, that are mostly really toned. But, I have some stubborn jiggly part right on my inner thighs. I do the abductor and inductor machines, but I would love some resistance exercises for inner thighs. Thank you!

I went to Sydney a year ago, and it was absolutely amazing. I couldn't recommend it more. It's like a combination of San Francisco and Hawaii. It's stunningly beautiful, with more trees than any city I've ever been to, and people there are workout fanatics. There are hot Aussies everywhere! You would love it Mary, there are lots of beautiful hiking destinations (the Blue Mountains are a few hours away), and there is beach everywhere. As far as the cost, the ticket is expensive, probably cheaper now, and the conversion rate is not too great, so I ended up spending a lot of money. But, couldn't recommend it enough. I would love to live there.

Hmmmm, I think that anyone that actually reads your site regularly would disagree with them. They just sound like they're making sweeping assumptions based on a couple of posts. I hate that women instantly turn their own guilt about eating into accusations that healthy eating is akin to anorexia.
