Yes the UTF-8 feature is more of an "experimental" one and probably should be described better. Unfortunately I don't "have" anyone to complete it but since this is an open source project I will happily accept source code contributions.

When I used Google Reader I used the "Send to" menu on a post to get it into
Instapaper (check out Settings | Send To). I now use Reeder in place of
Google Reader on Mac, iPhone and iPad and I'm not looking back. Reeder has
native Instapaper support. The main benefit of Instapaper is the synching
between all your devices (along with visually optimized and offline
reading).

Yikes. Sounds like some spec changed in one of the devices. My setup is still working very well.

If possible I would exchange the iomega -- otherwise use it as a secondary or sell it to a friend.

Good point. Devs tend to avoid thinking about virusscan and malware apps (unless they're providing tech support.)

Plus there is the whole bloatware issue - both pre-installed and driver packaged. That shit bothers everyone.

I feel the same way. But don't you think this attitude is more common among developers and IT pros -- ones who really saw and could understand the details of the erosion?

Two spaces after a period is archaic. It was more of a necessity before proportional fonts.

You can connect multiple drives to the AEBS by using a USB hub. But I don't think you can do parallel backups with Time Machine.

Here's a guy who is using two drives with Time Machine but he keeps one off site at all times:

While the arguments in the aforementioned article do not deter me from playing more with jQuery, it is worth noting that there are still some gotchas and much room for improvements to the library.

Yeah, I'm thinking the same thing as I've been hearing great things about jQuery. In fact I just dropped "jQuery in Action" onto my desk at work today but couldn't quite bring myself to dig in yet. I'm hoping it's not just hype.
