I found the issue - Disqus is CASE SENSITIVE to the URL. if you enter mysite.com/Page1.html - or - mysite.com/page1.html, DIsqus sees them as diff although the webserver might "allow" this.

in our case IIS6 ignores upper / lower case in the URL and will serve the same page.

need to think about implications...if any

I checked Seesmic itself - seems to be up and running...
