I'm sorry but did he SAY in the song he was poor? I don't think so, he just means now he's on the radio. Honestly when he was on Degrassi and rapping as Wheelchair Jimmy I didn't give two shits about his music. I was WAY surprised when I heard his first mixtape and even then I just thought it was a one hit fluke. But he's still here. It's a surprise to most I'd say.

I've never liked Flo Rida and utterly detest his music, but I realized the other day why he was so popular and needed for people today. He's not like other rappers, he's never talking about bitches or guns or weed. He keeps it simple to the fact that he likes to party and drink. He can actually rap about happy stuff and I think that's just what works and is good for him. I still refuse to listen but I see his overall purpose.

I once had a younger mindset like you when I first heard Childish in 2007 for the first time, but I've since come to see how much his rapping has grown and how he's grown as a person. You mentioned some you don't like but there is still SO much good. (i.e. Unnecessary, Outside, Do Ya Like, That Power, Silk Pillow, etc.) He's super talented, but it's okay if you don't see it.
