Would love to see Dorchester Ave go car free. As is many people avoid driving on dot Ave even when going from a place on dot Ave to another on dot Ave, it's that slow and we could use the bike and bus infrastructure as a backup to the redline failing.

Did you ask how? Did you ask Charlie the Coward how he can know the new orange line train will help if he doesn't take the orange line or any line? We need a lot more than the bare minimum which is what buying new trains and doing maintenance is.

No one is saying we should use magic to make the T costless. When is the last time you paid a fare to drive on city streets? When is the last time you paid a fare to the garbage collectors? Public school teachers? The police and fire departments?

Wait you've never paid a fare for those things? But how is that possible? How were the costs paid for?

Go ahead and shut down the T for 6-12 months if it means we can actually make fixes and improvements. It's practically shut down half the time anyway, at least if it's scheduled we can plan for alternatives instead of scrambling last minute.

Promoting any political party within a polling station is illegal and creates a hostile environment. Boston Magazine, please continue reporting on the photograph as it's a clear violation of promoting any political party within the polling station. The traffic jams and other shenanigans are shady but potentially not technically illegal. The photograph is absolute proof of the law being broken and it creates a hostile environment in the voting booths for non-Democrats.

Doesn't mean Boston has the riskiest drivers, that would indicate Boston drivers are most likely to crash anywhere. Rather Boston is one of the riskiest places to drive. I'd be curious what the accident rates of Bostonian drivers is when they're driving in an easy place to drive with grids and less traffic

At this point, would reaching 100 million people serve Pepsi any good? Everyone knows the Pepsi brand. Emerging companies might have still have a need for mass scale advertising but for massive, well entrenched companies with no new products, what's the point?

NewsFire looks intriguing and the price is right. I'm not too big on the mind mapping software but am downloading and installing Freemind right now, there's a few upcoming projects where it might come in very handy for pre-mockup type planning.

But it's a highly annoying flash banner that servers no purposes other than to blink and flash. It's almost worse that the banner is Flash instead of the whole site being Flash as that banner serves no purpose other than to annoy and seems tacked on to give it some glitz, which it doesn't do.

Plus, the header is one of the most important parts of a site, why Flash it up for no good reason?

And the second main reason to not use Flash? It's not needed. Javascript can do much of what Flash does nowadays.

Flash has its place, making a blinking flashing logo is not one of them.

Yeah, it seems each cell provider sucks in some way. It's as if they all colluded behind closed doors and said "OK, Verizon, your network will rock but your customer service will suck, AT&T your customer service will be stellar but your network will suck, T-Mobile, you're the fallback, just make sure you don't expand too much".

As for Blackberry vs. iPhone, it's all about the right tool for the job. For me, internet/terminal is the most crucial factor. The mail app is good enough for my needs and the browser is best in class.
