So, we must safely recycle 100% of all waste and trash, including
those thousands of nuclear fuel rods in storage buildings that need constant flowing water to keep
them from exploding. Throw nothing away because there is no "away". Everything on the Earth is
here forever, but it can be reprocessed. There already are a number of corporations that specialize
in recycling. There needs to be many more. Perhaps nuclear power can be made technically safe,
but there is always the tendency to cut corners and ignore safety rules, and mistakes are inevitable.
It's the human factor that cannot be guaranteed.

Sorry the paragraph is messed up. Couldn't fix it.

Re: SHRA - StimulusWatch.org

I'm sure the majority of instinct-driven Mankind agrees with you, but its time to self-control our instinct to grow and live in balance with the Earth's ability to support us. So, how many people do you think the Earth can feed before it collapses in the thousands of tons of garbage and sewage seven billion people produce every day? In my opinion we have already exceeded the limit as millions more people are getting sick with cancer and organ failure. That's why we need 100% safe recycling of all waste and garbage, family planning clinics and community gardens for a smaller human population that carefully maintains a healthy wilderness and pristine oceans teeming with life. "Live simply that others may simply live."

Re: SHRA - StimulusWatch.org

So, you feel OK about letting the excess population die off without trying to help them? If all we do is say "Screw You", the next gang of radicals will organize that
chaotic mass for yet another phony revolution and yet another dictatorship of the proletariat.
We can't afford to ignore anyone. We must have social control over the number of human
beings on this planet, and the most effective way is to let women themselves manage it,
because in normal circumstances they are far more sensitive, practical and conservative
than men.

Re: Light Rail and Heavy Rail Vehicle Rebuilding for the Blue Line and the Red Line Rail Systems - StimulusWatch.org

It's instinctive in all life to grow to whatever natural limits prevail, but human technology broke away from that, so now we can grow forever expanding our economy and growing our population onward to the stars, even if we leave a polluted planet behind us. Obviously that's crazy, but instinct hates to be limited by conservative rationality. I want to put Americans back to work, but I don't want to kill the biosphere we all depend on.

The answer is to safely recycle 100 % of all waste and garbage while we reduce the human population with family planning clinics where women are guaranteed the legal right to decide if and when to birth their children. Women are more conservative than men so only a few want many children, more want none at all, but the vast majority want no more than 1, 2 or 3.. That way, with a smaller population there would be plenty of resources for everyone, and we could live at peace.with each other and in balance with the Earth. But this is too rational for most people. They just want more of everything, regardless of consequences.

Re: SHRA - StimulusWatch.org

I'm surprised at the amount of class hatred and fear of poor people on this forum, and I suppose it
represents a cross section of America. Our growing human population is demanding way too much from the Earth, more every year, so the life support systems are in danger of collapse from growing tons of pollution. That is why my answer is yes, if I had the money, I would write a check for the photovoltaic project, and if necessary I would do an hour on a bicycle generator on cloudy or windless days for the needs of a smaller population.. I don't believe coal can ever be made clean, and nuclear will always be unsafe, in my opinion. Nevertheless, I recognize a growing number of people will probably go right on demanding more goods and services until disaster strikes, because as Arnie said in "Terminator Two" "It's in your nature to destroy yourselves." All I can do is volunteer, give my best advice and hope for the best, while fearing the worst.

Re: Amtrak Feasibility Study - StimulusWatch.org

I agree. Coal-fired power plants pump out tons of pollution; and even with careful safety precautions, nuclear power plants leak small amounts of radiation in their vicinity. Then we have the dozing worker syndrome that threatens another Chernobel or Three Mile Island. I'm in favor of health and safety first in all technological projects, and photovoltaics are safe and not a threat to anyone's health. For that reason i will support such technologies whenever I can.

Re: Photovoltaic Electric Power Generation- Parking Garages

Solar and wind are cheaper, then bicycle power when its cloudy and no wind. But I doubt most people will go for that..
More likely the human population will keep keep on growing until the Earth's life support systems
collapse under the growing mountains of land fill and oceans of plastic soup. We humans tend to
foul our nest and move on, but another good planet is hard to find.

Re: James Island Recreation Expansion - StimulusWatch.org

Only a very small number of people are entering this website, and not one proposed SBDG project for South Carolina has received a positive vote, NOT ONE. I remember the last Depression in the 1930s when Roosevelt saved us from a Communist Revolution by giving the people hope with his New Deal legislation, which is why I have a pension. Capitalism is the only economic system capable of delivering the goods and services the people need and want, but it absolutely must be regulated for a social safety net, or the robber barons will try to steal everything = another boom and bust. President Obama is trying his best, like Roosevelt, but I agree with you these Stimulus projects must be carefully reviewed. We need more information.

Re: SHRA - StimulusWatch.org

The growing human population is polluting the planet beyond recovery unless we voluntarily
plan the size of our families and communities. L.A. is surrounding itself with mountains of landfill,
and the Pacific Ocean now has a huge "garbage patch" that is turning into plastic soup. Family
Planning clinics give gentle advice to women to help them decide what to do, and since a growing
number of couples who cannot have children want to adopt, there is no need to abort unless the
fetus is deformed or the mother's life is in danger.

Meanwhile, I agree with you that we should stop illegal immigration and put a time limit on wellfare.

A problem with this website is not enough description of the projects makes it next to impossible to
accurately assess whether or not they're appropriate.

Re: Light Rail and Heavy Rail Vehicle Rebuilding for the Blue Line and the Red Line Rail Systems - StimulusWatch.org

Sounds good to me.
