Also, the City was failing us for City Codes. The deal fell through and now the building is back on the Market and for sale. It is on California Ave. and the Boardwalk; a terrific location. We are hoping that someone will either purchase the building to rehab it; we would also make a plea to the City to help us in rehabbing the building because we cannot DO IT on our own. Please help us either tear it down and/or build on this location. It is prime location; next to the Tropicana; direct views to the new Mall at Caesars. As it stands now, the building is boarded up; vagrants cliimb the walls and squat there; it is dangerous and a horrible eye-sore. For the right buyer or help with the City, it is the perfect location and a great opportunity to re-own and rebuild a famous piece of Atlantic City on the Boardwalk. Please consider purchasing or helping us re-hab our building and make something beautiful out of it again.
For those of us with mortgages, it is pitiful to make payments on an empty property when many of us cannot afford it; we are unable to rent it out; and is a source of frustration and anger from all owners. The building was mismanaged by previous Board Presidents and Members of the Board.
If the CRDA is helping rebuild the Boardwalk, WHY won't they help OUR property before the building is deemed dangerous and taken away from us by the City? Please, Atlantic City officials, PLEASE spare our building and help reconstruct OUR property; we are right on the Boardwalk as well. PLEASE do not neglect our property. We desperately need your help. Thank you.

Re: Real Estate Feature - Let Your Garden Grow - Atlantic City Weekly

We have an 80- unit property, previously California Villas; we were told to vacate the property almost 3 yrs. ago b/c we were under agreement of sale. We have a condo building for sale in a building called California Villas, an 80 unit building at California Ave. & the Boardwalk. The building is in a GREAT location; right next to the Tropicana and very close to the new Mall. The building is now boarded up and for sale. It has been empty and vacated for 3 yrs. It was mismanaged by our old Board; we were under contract with various prospective buyers and the deals fell through. We finally have a new board. Our current realtor is also a unit owner; has only been a realtor for about 2 yrs., and has personal interest in selling our property for commissions. The Board has NOT hired a new professional realtor to list our property. Numerous owners never paid assessment fees or back condo fees, thus running our building into the ground which caused the building to fail City Codes, forcing us to sell it. Various buyers want to re-hab the building but the deals fell through. The Board dealt with unethical buyers. Now that the economy is worse we are stuck with an empty, boarded up building. Many of us are still paying mortgage payments on a boarded up, empty property at a prime location. If anyone wants to purchase a building for rehab, or knock it down totally and put up a new condo, a new business, or start over; it is a great location. We need a huge break; someone PLEASE show some interest in our property and purchase it from us. The stress is getting to all of us, especially me. The meetings result in nothing but arguments, people owe hundreds of thousands of dollars in back dues/assessments, we just want it sold already. If you are reading this, our building is in a GREAT location; if you are TRUMP OR HILTON or someone with some "real" financial backing and can help us in any manner, we'd be deeply grateful. I, for one, cannot afford to keep paying my mortgage payments each month; I am always stressed out over this property. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I LOVE Atlantic City; I hate the investment I made a few years ago. It has caused me NOTHING but heartache. Someone, please help us out and purchase our building. I cannot afford a vacation, my bills all go towards this mortgage payment. If you are reading this, please consider buying our building!! Thanks so much!!!
