Its about time. The Catholic church has now been proven to be the "pedophile production and protection program". They raped over 10,000 children int he United States alone, and they hid the truth about it.

Bishop McCormack was one of the worst in history when it came to moving and protecting child rapists. Due to his absolutely reckless negligence, hundreds of children were raped by repeat offenders. He is a disgrace to God.

I bought a brand new, $1,500 Toshiba laptop 6 months ago and its been nothing but trouble. I send it back for repairs a week ago (and they CHARGED me $15) and they can't even tell me how long it will take to repair.

Catholic priests raped over 10,000 children in the United States in the last 50 years, and the Church decides to step up and devote a Tuesday in March to it.

Hey Bishop, you don't get the magnitude of this thing.

No responsible parent brings their children near a Catholic priest anymore, and you bishops, cardinals and popes did so much lying, there's no point in listening to any of your opinions. Your lack of compassion for the victims for decades shows you don't understand the line "whatever you do for the least of my brothers".

You have all disgraced God, and have begun the demise of the church. In 2 generations, there will be no Catholic church, just a historical story of an organization that raped children, ignored them, and lied to protect it. People will ask how that could have been called a religion.

It physically sickens me when I think about priests having sex with children, and the way you lied about it and ignored those children.

But hey, now they have a Tuesday in March. In Maine.

I did a Google search for Rev. Richard Kelley, and it actually shows a story of a priest in Detroit who was removed from the church for being accused of child sex abuse. If that's you, you should mention it. If it's not, how rampant is child rape in the Catholic Church that you can't find another priest with your name who hasn't committed child rape?

The point is that the Catholic Church priests raped children at an incomprehensible rate in the last 50 years, but it isn't as though this was their first set of problems. Why don't you defend today's child rape, cover-up, outright lying, and ignorance of the victims, "commonwealth"?

I am a proud ex-Catholic, having realized that this Church is no longer the Church of God. God would not have allowed the following:

1) at least 4,000 priests to have raped over 11,000 child victims in the United States alone

These numbers are from your John Jay study, which , as I understand, was paid for by the Catholic Church, so you know that they didn't put in any numbers that were too high

2) The Church to threaten the child victims thru "crimen sollicitationis"

Its easy to find more info on the Vatican game plan to deal with pedophile priests, where the children were forgiven for their sin (whaaat?), and all parties were told never to speak about it again, which all bishops did for years until some very gutsy victims and investigators exposed the truth, which the Catholic Church tried so hard to hide. PS - God is big on truth. This Church isn't.

3) The Church moved the pedophiles when they found out (in 96% of cases according to the study)

You don't have to look any further than New Hampshire to find one of the conspirators, Bishop McCormick, who would be in probably prison and completely unemployable if he were a manager at Wal-Mart who was moving known pedophiles around

4) The Church never did anything to help the victims

This is the most obvious and un-discussed issue. When these rape victims came forward, the Jesus Christ I know would have welcomed them in, gotten them therapy, and paid for it by selling every church in the land, even if it meant that people would have to worship in garages and gymnasiums. Instead, this church tried to silence the victims, discredited them, and made them fight in court to get money for therapy.

I haven't heard of a single case where the church tried to reach out and help the victims, except in the case of a New Hampshire priest named Seamus MacCormack, who was removed by his superiors for speaking about it too much in sermons. Summary:

Catholicism is a fine religion, and it has been completely disgraced by the current Catholic Church leadership. God never would have allowed all of these things to happen (especially #4) if He believed that this was His church.

This is a very poignant and funny article, although you should have shown more compassion for the burger eaters that are in hell for eternity. Shame they didn't wait a few more years to die, but that's the power of the pope.

This Catholic Church is an embarrassment to God and to religion, where thousands of priests raped children, their superiors hid the truth, and they never, ever did anything to help the victims of child rape by priests (11,000+ in the United States alone). These victims certainly became "the least of my brothers" at the filthy, disgusting hands of priests, and the Church has never done anything at all to help them unless they were dragged into court to do so.

Catholics come home? No thanks, we moved out, and we're not bringing our kids back.

There are now stories about pedophile priests JUST THIS WEEK in Philadelphia, Seattle, Las Vegas, Tennessee, New York , Texas, California, Alabama, Iowa, and probably others. That's just this week.

The Catholic Church is a dangerous place for children. For at least 50 years, they protected pedophile priests, they lied about it, and they ignored the children that they raped. I don't understand why anyone goes back. If this was God's church, He would have stopped some part of this reprehensible behavior.

1) don't bring your kids to a Catholic Church
2) don't donate

In my seminars, I always tell people that their Professional Headline should be a marketing slogan, not their title. One reason is that the Professional Headline shows up along with their name in their LinkedIn answers, and gives them a unique opportunity to market themselves.

Great stuff, but I do have one "disagreement".

If you connect with competitors on LinkedIn, they can then browse your connections, which means they may try to harvest the names of decision makers at your client's company. LinkedIn doesn't have much granularity in allowing you to prevent this. There is a single switch that allows

- all of your connections to see all of your other connections
- none of your connections to see any of your other connections
