I have followed your BDD post and have been writing a test project for myself. Got it all working, etc. Then I through in SubSonic 3. Since most of the BDD specs test values at construction, do you have a recommended method of creating BDD specs when using SubSonic (active record in this case)? It's that whole not reinventing the wheel thing again. =)

More specifically, the spec requires testing member variables after construction, yet the default constructor doesn't default the values.

Aloha
Eric

Re: Tekpub: Building My Blog: Hana - Preview

Aloha Rob,
I followed the excellent MVC Storefront series, so I went ahead and purchased the BYOB series. I have enjoyed the first two videos and can't (will have to) wait for the rest. I have a few of questions and a comment.

Is there a reason why you are not committing AssemblyInfo.cs to Git or is it an oversight?

Are you using the WordPress database for the blog?

Too much Git information in the videos. I would like to see it replaced with more information about connecting to MySQL or BlueprintCSS integration or BDD. The AgileZen information was just right.

Can you publish the titles of the remaining episodes? Subject to change of course.

Mahalo
Eric

Re: 5 Secrets To Ninja Writing : Rob Conery

NSFW~!

Re: How To Spend a Day on the Islands for Christmas : Rob Conery

Rob, thanks for the great reminder. I am experiencing issues with restoring the database as many others.

When attempting to restore CommerceDB I get this error message:

Directory lookup for the file "D:\@SQL\Commerce.MVC.mdf" failed with the operating system error 21(The device is not ready).

When adding the Commerce.MVC.bak file to the list of restore devices I get this error message:

CommerceDB.bak is not part of a multiple family media set. BACKUP WITH FORMAT can be used to form a new media set. RESTORE HEADERONLY ist terminating abnormally.

I hope these error messages are helpful.

Mahalo Nui Loa
Eric
