I wonder if there isn't a middle-ground. I believe the old cliche that "to be the champs, you have to beat the champs," so by that rationale, the Packers should be #1 heading into the new Madden (as they're also #1 in our hearts).

However, that shouldn't necessarily dictate that the Steelers are #2, the Bears and Jets #s 3 and 4.... There could/should be the ability to factor in educated guesswork. (For instance, the Lions seem poised to be a mid-tier team instead of the bottom-dwellers they've been for a decade plus.)

Still, as long as these games are released pre-season, there isn't a "best" way to determine #1 teams. And as long as regular roster updates help reflect the balance of power, in the long run, it doesn't really matter anyway.

No, you're right: Better that Bush is GM (now that he's not doing anything else). That way, as the wealthiest 1% the players would have enough tax breaks and loopholes that they wouldn't even need to worry about paying their taxes.

Wow, Meg, you are one savvy consumer of online content if you "don’t know if it is slanted toward a particular candidate or shows bias." Surely the graphic of Obama being torn in half couldn't possibly indicate if there's some sort of bias concerned.

Here's an idea: when providing the masses with tools for their investigative journeys; when actually *encouraging* people to take a "test" online, I don't know, maybe take it yourself first to see if it's worth a damn.

Sample question: "Some say Barack Obama’s plans to implement sweeping environmental regulations will raise the cost of gas, groceries, heating and air conditioning. Do you favor or oppose Obama’s environmental plans?"

"Some say," huh? Well, if some people say it, that's all I need to know to make up MY mind....
