Adnan, those are very insightful comments. The fact that entire communities can come to a standstill by the exit of a corporation is something people have underestimated, and has happened elsewhere in the world.

I have to say I'm somewhat relived that thats not the case in Pakistan. The only documented cases are where businesses/corporations have constructed factories in relatively remote areas, and for some reason the factory closed and eventually the people who were employed there had to pay the price. So large corporations do have an impact, but not large enough to create a recession of any sort in the community.

I feel the people would accept mutually beneficial systems (people benefit from corporations' CSR initiatives, corporations benefit by building customer loyalty) more readily as opposed to having nothing at all.
