The fact is they are not processing them. They send a representative to give a statement that is pure bull.We aren't doing anything different this year than we have in the past is a big fat lie. My sister and cousin filed theirs in February and have alread gotten their refunds they were only a couple hundred dollars. So the statement about processing them as they come in is a lie we would have gotten our before them if that was the case. This guy thinks we are that stupid to believe his ramblings. Come on news for do some investagating and get the people of buffalo some REAL answers. We called for action so show us some real action. Dates and such of when our refunds will be sent is the only answer to this.. All eyes are on you

Re: Where are the state income tax refunds | WIVB.com

Ok also for those few who think we may be confussed or that the State is being truthful . WRAL.COM is a station in NC . Okay what does that mean to us in NY? Well I will tell you on that site there is a news report regarding NC State tax refunds. The State is actually admitting they are near broke and can't afford to pay the returns. Doesn't give much comfort to the tax payers but COME ON NY BE HONEST AND OWN UP TO IT. We aren't crazy here we know something is wrong. The jig is up

Re: Where are the state income tax refunds | WIVB.com

We are talking about the state refund. As in our case the automated response has shown processing for over 5 weeks they normally take between 4 and 6 weeks. There is SOMETHING going on and the state is trying to keep it under wraps.

Re: Where are the state income tax refunds | WIVB.com

I agree with you lori, they have never taken this long there is a lot of lieing going on in Albany I guess we are all supposed to shake our heads with agreement and pretend they are being honest with us unfortunatly THEY ARENT

Re: Where are the state income tax refunds | WIVB.com

Ok now I'm more confussed than before you aired this story. I actually got through to the state tax department and was told by a processing supervisor that the state does not have enough money to pay out the claims. Therefore they are going through and paying out the smaller refunds first. I was even told by my tax preparer that the state may even be considering issueing vouchers like in Cal. because they can't pay the refunds. I wish the people in charge would stop hiding behind bull and speak the truth. We have to pay our taxes on time or we are fined and hit hard with penalities but on their end it is an endless waiting game. This is horrible and someone needs to do something to get us our money. Fair is fair.
