It is now becoming very easy to tag anyone illegally downloading from such sites. It is now increasingly likely that the business of illegal downloads will turn out to be an incredibly lucrative business for the government and the film companies that get ripped off.

Yes! It is incredibly easy to rip your movie via the net and many think its the norm because so many people are doing it. But take this... hows about a standard fine delivered to your home in fine style by your local community bobby??

This analagy may seem a little weird to some but if we take a look at the ease in which several hundred thousand speed cameras were set up nationwide, now creating hundreds of millions in revenue. The speed camera network in this country was set up at lightning pace. We are now seeng more regular occurences of fines and imprisonment for the illegal copying of media world wide which should be a warning to anyone who thinks that the internet system is not policeable.

If you've been issued with a £30 - £60 speeding charge in the last ten years for travelling at an average of 36 mph you may have thought yourself pretty unlucky. Sure, downloading is not speeding, however, the issue of printing off thousands of fines delivered to your home by your unsuspecting kind hearted postman is an increasingly probable outcome and incredibly profitable source for the government. As lawful examples of illegal web companies and individual downloaders increase, better legislation is being put in place. (all be it slowly for the meantime)

Lets face it.. would you risk the standard £60 pound fine for downloading a movie a lightening speed in the comfort your own home? No matter how good the movie or how fast the down load no movie is worth £60. 32, 000 people were caught in one city, in one week on one road alone in the UK.(www.telegraph.co.uk/motorin... It took the police less than 2 days to issue the fines....and do we pay up??... are there to many of us to police?? No, of course not.. in fact 99.98% pay in fear of further fines or imprisonment.

You buy an orange, you buy a sofa, you buy a car, you sit down at 6pm every night infront of your tv at home after a hard day at the office and are entertained by your favourite actors in your favourite programmes, some of whom have struggled for years to finally land that one film role that just might do them some good.....why choose to break the law and bugger up someones chance of success and moreso Britains chance of creating its own privately funded low budget feature film projects to rival the rest of the world and entertain our own UK masses.

Governmental policy regarding policing strategies for illegal public behaviour more often than not conveniently involves a fine system or community service...and these fines are dished out by the SHIP LOAD EVERY DAY! Carry on clicking those thumbs for now guys but I assure you it wont be long before your thumb joints freeze and your bank balance suffers.

This is Steve Garry.....checking out :o)

In post: http:www.thefallowfield.com, www.youtube (Scuppered), www.imdb.com (Rough Around the Edges) Imagining Love (Cockle Productions Ltd.)
